Recycling line for post-consumer textile waste – Invitation to Participate

Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy (later LSJH) is planning to construct a pilot scale recycling plant for end-of-life textiles in Turku, Finland. The recycling facility shall be capable of refining old garments and other used textiles into mechanically regenerated fiber. The pilot plant will be designed for 1000kg/h processing capacity.

The recycling process is based on mechanical opening cylinder technology. The procurement object consists of a complete textile recycling line, including components for cutting, conveyor feeding, hard parts removal, fiber opening and fiber bale pressing.
