News from Telavalue project
Telavalue project has been progressing fast within 2023. We have been updating our actor map based on feedback and suggestions obtained from stakeholders. Work focusing on impact evaluation of value chains and value proposition is mostly done. Also studies regarding novel business models in progressed as expected and we will obtain more information to this work from consumer studies, after which we can start making conclusions and final analysis. Some preliminary results of above mentioned topics have already published in our website. We have studied data needs in circular economy with TEXroad, and also these results are ready to be published soon.
In experimental work we have carried out spinning trial and tested different fibre finishes. Work have been partly done also within research exchanges to CITEVE/Portugal and Borås/Sweden. Students have been involved in this research and two thesis works regarding quality of recycled fibres and improvement of quality will be published later this year.
Research work related to chemical recycling of cellulose based fibres (via dissolution) as well as thermo-mechanical recycling of thermoplastic synthetic fibres (via melting) have been delayed. In order to get all planned work done, we applied six months extension to our project. Thus, we will be able to publish results and demonstrations not only in coming months, but also in first half of 2024.
Overall project is progressing well, and with this project extension we have all possibilities to achieve all targets set to our project.
